In the Village of Clinton, MI, tucked away in the old neighborhood behind the basketball courts, the Community Center and the very colorful Orthodox Church, lies a small old local treasure, St. John's Episcopal Church. Built in 1835 by Reverend William Lyster, St. John's has been the spiritual home of generations of Episcopalians who have come here to share their joys and sorrows with God and their church family. St. John's has been a place where people have found comfort in hearing the Lord's word and sharing Holy Communion, and enjoying fellowship with other parishioners.
Tucked away... isn't that often how Faith feels? Tucked away deep in our hearts but still always pulling? Life gets so busy with school, raising families, work, taking care of elderly loved ones, that adding Sunday service to our busy schedules often becomes difficult to do. But if we take a minute to look inside our hearts and listen, God is still calling and wants us back.
We invite you to join us at St. John's. This small, yet vibrant church has survived many storms for almost 190 years and yet is still here. Please come and worship with us on Sundays, hear God's holy word and enjoy the fellowship of our congregation.
St. John's is a place where you can come for peace, comfort, support and fellowship or simply to catch your breath. We are here for YOU. Come as you are, for you are always welcome at St. Johns.
