All the children of God, of all ages, are welcome in worship at St. John's. We also believe that the opportunity to focus on the Bible stories of the day in age-appropriate ways with other children is important - so whether your family worships together in church or the kids spend the first part of the service in church school, you are welcome here!
We have a nursery host who will care for infants and toddlers during the service. Parents are encouraged to collect their little ones for the Eucharist.
Sunday School is conducted during the first half of church on Sundays during the school year - this year beginning October 8th through early June, starting at 10:00 am. Our Sunday School is open to all children in the community, from preschool through fifth grade. The curriculum focuses on the basics, such as understanding the Lord's Prayer and learning about key figures like Jesus, Moses, Mary, and the disciples. Children will join their grown-ups in worship for Holy Eucharist.
Middle and High School students are invited to attend worship service in its entirety, while learning the ways to be active participants in the St. John's community. Students are encouraged to "find their niche," whether through reading in worship, helping in the nursery, ushering, or in any number of other serving capacities. St. John's Youth typically meets once a month, outside of church service hours, for special activities and fellowship.
